Masterclasses and Guest Teachers
During the two-year course students benefit from a variety of masterclasses. Topics are chosen according to the teaching objectives of a given year, and leading specialists from the different disciplines are invited to provide students with a uniquely varied and challenging training.
- Traditional dances: Indian, Spanish, African, Cancan etc.
- Theatre: Commedia dell’arte, Shakespearian theatre, French theatre
- Show dances: hip-hop, jazz etc.
- Circus arts: acrobatics, tightrope walking, Röhnrad etc.
- Improvisation workshops and personal creations
- Nutrition and cooking classes for dancers
- Martial arts: “I was very young when I first realised the relevance of Japanese culture as a source of inspiration and a mental model. In the sixties, thanks to my meeting with master Taisen Deshimaru, I was able to enter into the heart of Zen and the martial arts. After that, my frequent visits to Japan, when I was working with Japanese ballet and theatre companies, gave me the possibility to penetrate into the depths of a mental universe in which I discovered my authentic self, beyond space, frontiers and oceans. Thanks to Kabuki and actors such as Tamasaburo Bando, thanks to my long collaboration with the Tokyo Ballet, thanks to the writer Mishima, the musician Mayusumi, the fashion designer Issey Miyake, and thanks to the numerous Sumo matches I watched in Japan, I feel that this culture is also my own, , and I try to ensure that my Rudra school in Lausanne can to some extent reflect my passionate interest in this form of knowledge."

Dans le cadre de la production de Jérome Savary: "La vie parisienne" et de la présentation de ce spectacle à l'Opéra de Lausanne en décembre 2005, Mademoiselle Nadège Maruta a dispensé un stage à tous les élèves de l'école-atelier. Un casting final a permis à plusieurs d'entre eux de faire partie du spectacle à l'Opéra de Lausanne.
